Labay Middle School is a part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, which operates several learning centers and elementary, middle and high schools. The school serves more than 1,400 students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in various subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and physical and health education. It features a band, choir and orchestra. Labay Middle School also conducts drama, art and music classes. The school provides Spanish, German and French as foreign languages. It offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, tennis and wrestling. It also provides special education services to gifted and talented students. In addition, the school organizes field trips to several educational and cultural destinations.
