Houston Academy is a math, science and fine arts magnet school. It is affiliated with the Aldine Independent School District and is located in Houston. The academy s math program offers students opportunities to learn a technological and arts-based curriculum through a partnership with the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.. It operates the Techno Stars Lab, which features probes, scanners, video editing and pneumatic equipment, building materials and computer programs for scientific investigations. The academy offers classes in performing and visual arts. Students in the performing arts class take lessons in guitar, piano, vocal music, drama, violin and dance, which includes ballet, tap and jazz.
