I ordered a 14lx dump trailer here on February 10th from Patrick. I ordered the trailer without the barn doors. I asked them if they'd give me a price break for not getting them. Patrick told me 'no'. I'm thinking, 'ok, whatever'. Trailer wound up being 2 1/2 weeks late and there was stuff wrong. for $8500?! Well, I met with my Welder on Monday the 23rd to go over options with what kind of gate to use. He tells me to get the barn doors and that they were the right choice from the get go. So, get ahold of Patrick the next day (Tuesday May 24th) and was like, "Is there anyway I can just go ahead and get those barn doors seeing that you guys never gave me a price break for it?" Patrick told me, "no" that it would cost me several hundred dollars. When all is said and done, I was gonna get charged another $700 to get something that could have easily gotten with the trailer!!! I mean, I wasn't asking them to weld them on. I just wanted the hardware! Big Tex are rip off artists!!!

I would have to disagree with all of these 5 star ratings. I called the phone number they have listed several times and no one answered. I finally found some more numbers they had listed and asked about a 5 x 8 trailer and was told they had one for $751. Once I finally made my through all the road construction to get here Dale says nope we don't have that here. I had to ask him to show me what he did have. He showed me the oldest trailer on the lot, the boards were already faded and looked like it had been sitting for quite a while. He said he would take $925. I asked him to come down to $850, that's only $75 and he said nope. he said after taxes it would be about $1250 He advised me to go to Northern Tool, but they didn't have what I was looking for. On my way back to him I stopped at Texas Trailer Supply right next door to them where they sold me a used trailer that looked newer than the one at Big Tex, better quality, a Ranch King 5 x 11 bi-fold back gate and a spare tire for $900. After taxes it was $1065 so he was gigging me on the taxes too. Dale had an attitude that he didn't care if you bought a trailer from him or not. Try Texas Trailer Supply before you go here. You will get a better service and a better deal. I was hoping he would be outside when I passed by, but of course no one was buying anything from there. I wonder why!
