I was looking forward to sharing tea cakes with my fam but this batch was not so good as the cakes were hard and crunchy instead of soft and chewy, their usual state. Guys, can we be sure that the "new" baker doesn't make this mistake again please.

I want to say I spoke to A & K Cakes again about the misunderstanding regarding the missed Saturday closing time and Arnetta did apologize to me for the misunderstanding and am going back to my favorite cake shop to get my cake. I will always remember one thing, and that is be on time. I just wanted to be offered an opportunity to purchase another cake. Thanks Arnetta for your GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I will never consider leaving my favorite cake place again. You deserve a raise, you are GREAT.

I have purchased cakes from this business for years and I have been very satisfied with the cakes and the service. However I missed the closing time on that Saturday (1p.m.) and I really wanted the cake so I tried calling on Monday I could not reach anyone, and I was not allowed to leave a message (there was no answering machine). I called early Tuesday and I received very poor customer service. I was told the cake was sold and that they don't keep cakes over the weekend. I was not asked if I wanted another cake made. I was told that "were you not told what time we close". Although the cakes are good you still need good customer service skills. Some often wonder why they don't prosper as well as others and it's because of POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would have purchased another cake if asked I was never asked. I was scolded about being told what time they close on Saturdays. Very Poor Customer Service can break a business and this business just lost this long time customer.

I recently purchased a cake and I took it from Texas to Louisiana and then put it in the refrigerator for another two days. When we cut the cake it was moist and delicious just like I had just picked it up. I also love to get the cake by the slice when I just want some cake. I love this bakery!!! Mrs. Walsh
