Incorporated in 1862, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church serves the Christian community in Horseheads, N.Y. The church operates through music, altar guild, lay readers and Calicers, lay Eucharistic visitors, acolytes, ushers and greeters and nursery ministries. Through its music ministry, the church provides training for volunteer choirs that practices once a week and offers a few anthems throughout the year at Christmas, Easter, and other special occasions. St. Matthew's Episcopal Church also conducts sermons, including First Sunday of Advent, Fourth Sunday of Advent, Easter Day, Palm Sunday and more.
