Horseheads Intermediate School, governed by Horseheads Central Schools, serves more than 550 students in grades five and six. The school s curriculum includes math, science, language arts, physical education and social studies. It organizes a range of intramural sports activities, such as golf, soccer, basketball, flag football, lacrosse and archery. The school offers various extracurricular activities, including newspaper and drama clubs. Horseheads Intermediate School also provides instruction in choir, band and orchestra music. In addition, it conducts computer, technology and career education classes. The school s parent-teacher organization participates in various student welfare activities.
