Established in 1910, Horn Lake Elementary School serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade two. The school is a part of DeSoto County Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The facility includes a library, gymnasium and cafeteria. The school provides education in the fields of mathematics and reading. It also conducts speech therapy, computer application, and special and character education classes. The school organizes various shows, such as book fairs, puppet shows and musical concerts. It also operates a parent-teacher organization.
