General Info

The Sleep Technicians, also called Polysomnographic Technologists, are a group of outstanding select (caring, friendly, knowledgeable) individuals, who devote their nights to monitor our patients with sleep disorders. The most common condition we encounter at Sleep Center Hawaii is Obstructive Sleep Apnea, characterized by snoring, and an obstruction of the airway during sleep, which can result in breathing pauses, daytime sleepiness, weight gain, and has been associated with Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity, Stroke, Heart Attack , and possibly a shorter life expectancy. Our mostly young team has been extensively trained, and receives continued monitoring and feedback by Chief Technicians and our Board Certified Sleep Specialist Physician. They undergo regular training, and most of them are either Certified Polysomnographic Technologists (CPSGT), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT). They strive to make your overnight stay at Sleep Center Hawaii as comfortable as possible, and are always there for you.
