About Hokulani Bake Shop was founded in November 2005 by husband and wife team Tushar and Ana Dubey. In this short period of time Hokulani has been featured in many local and Japanese publications and TV programs. Hokulani Bakeshop is one of the few places in Hawaii to buy a truly handmade, artisan food product that is delicious and also a work of art. Inspired by the natural and cultural beauty of Hawaii, the Hawaii is Delicious line of hand decorated cookies includes 15 cookie shapes and designs that are representative of life in the islands, including native marine life, native flowers, aloha attire, ukulele, and of course the aloha spirit, symbolized by the gift of a lei. In April 2006 Hokulani Bakeshop launched a line of cupcakes, made from scratch, to complement the decorated sugar cookies. Hokulani cupcakes and cookies contain 100% real butter and sugar, with no hydrogenated oils ( no margarine, no shortening ) or corn syrup.
