Highly recommend. Excellent job in refinishing and matching old whitewash on my grandmother's bedroom set. It's beautiful again!
We have a 1920's era spinet desk. It had the original, damaged finish. Shipping it to Hawaii resulted in it having one leg broken off at the base of the desk. The accompanying chair had a woven rush seat that was badly broken. In calls all over the island we were told that only one person provided the service of rush seat repair/replacement and she had moved to the mainland.Then we found Gilbert's. We picked up our desk and chair this week. The restored appearance took our breath away. The desk looks pristine and the chair is unbelievable. The rush seat was professionally completely replaced.If you have a piece you love dearly, as we did this desk and chair, Gilbert's is the only place to go.
