For the past 10 years my family has been loyal customers to Pete's Automotive Specialties and have had a seven or eight cars serviced here. Over the years we've always had a great experience and trusted Dane and his crew to get the job done. This past year the customer service experience has severely declined. I've had my car repaired there three times this year without receiving a quote or estimate first to approve the repairs that are needed. As a result, I never know how much the repairs are going to cost until the work is done. As one can imagine, that can cause a quite a bit of anxiety as the costs of some repairs can be over $700. I've asked Dane and his staff each time to give me a quote over the phone before carrying out the repairs and they have ignored me every time. Every mechanic and dealership I've worked with in the past has ALWAYS provided a quote before they proceed in repairing my car. I find this highly unprofessional and greedy. When I spoke to Dane over the phone about not giving me a quote before the job is complete he completely brushed me off and was unapologetic but I guess that's the type of response you give to a loyal customer for 10 years. I've noticed over the years that the customer base has dwindled so my guess is that the business needs the money. If it were possible I would rate Pete's Auto Specialties a negative five.
