Founded in 1956, McNicol Middle School is a year-round school that provides learning opportunities to more than 780 students in grades six through eight. It provides educational services for the mental, physical and social development of children. The school offers two magnet programs, as well as specialized educational opportunities in science and international affairs and business. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, reading, mathematics, social studies and science. The school also offers an after-school care program and Saturday camp. It is a part of Broward County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school districts in the United States accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
