Thanks to Girlfriends FIt CLub!!!! It is a wonderful place to become a healthier and more fit woman. This year being a milestone year for me- yikes 50 years old, I decided it was time to get off the sofa and off to the gym. I started last September with positive, focused thoughts and support from a few important family members and friends. I know that I would not have succeeded without them, Girlfriends Fit Club (my new friends & biggest encouragers), I have lost 29 lbs and 3 sizes over the last year through a healthy diet and exercise. Of course exercise was key. Girlfriends Fit Club has terrific variety of fun classes with supportive and encouraging instructors, no matter what fitness level you are at. Beginners to advanced members can burn the calories together while laughing, sweating, and groaning together. It is a wonderful place for women to bond over working out on machines designed for women or in the many classes.

If you ever need to cancel your membership, don't expect them to follow through. I gave them almost a two month notice and they still charged me for a month. I had to call them several times and all I got was the run around. No one who answers the phone can make decisions. Think twice before you go there just because they are horrible at their membership and book keeping.

This company has the WORST client care i have EVER experienced. The staff tells you one thing and the owner tells you another. When I signed up i did so knowing that if by some chance my family income was reduced I could freeze my account for up to 6 months and not have to pay the monthly charges. When I lost my job I went in to freeze my account, the assistant manager said it would take effect immediately. 2 weeks later I was charged my monthly amount to my debit card. The Sunday before Thanksgiving. It took the owner 3 days to reimburse me... but it was only after I called her repeatedly asking/pleading for the freeze to take effect. This week my account was charged AGAIN. The LAST $37 I had in my checking was GONE... PLUS I was fined a $32.00 overdraft charge by my bank because the charge was for $39. So this year for Christmas my daughter gets severe stomach pain and sadness because I can not afford the food she needs and there is 10 more days until I get paid again.
This gym told me while I was getting a tour of the gym that if I needed to canel for any reason all I had to do was put in writing in advance a letter giving my intentions to end my membership. Their own employee told me this. When I tried to do this they told me that it wasn't possible unless I had written notification from my doctor or they I was moving beyond the miles they allot you for "too far away". Then I left several messages with the owner, she told me that I signed a legal and binding contract and that I would have to pay regardless. This gym fails to tell you up front what thier intentions really are. I left feeling like I just got duped by a used car lot. Not the type of customer service we need in this type of economy. Don't sign anything there or you will be stuck just like me.
