Holgate High School is a coeducational institution that enrolls students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers classes in math, science, social studies, English and Spanish, as well as art, vocal music and physical education. Holgate is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Green Meadows Conference, which is an athletic league of eight area schools. Its sports activities include football, cross-country, golf, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and track and field. Holgate High School bands perform in the Ohio Music Education Association marching band, solo and ensemble, and group events. Holgate High School operates several organizations and clubs for students and parents that include the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America and a student council. It also has a parent-teacher organization that works for the overall development of the school.
