Are you feeling lucky? You pay a lower price for a reason; namely deplorable customer service. We bought black out shades from them for our NYC apartment based on a friend's recommendation. Two of the shades are fine. The third fell apart within 4 weeks; the chain snapped and the shade, itself, ripped after three times of pulling it all the way up . When we called the company, they ducked us for a week - the customer service rep was defensive the first time we spoke, asked us to send photos and then faded on us. She then was "out" the three times we tried to contact her again within 4 days, despite our leaving a message each time asking her to call us back. Finally, I wrote an email to the owner of the company. He responded immediately but suggested, from the pics we sent, that it was "clearly" user error causing the problems without explaining how we actually erred (not sure how you can make a mistake in using a shade?). He then asked for $150 to just come look at the shade. When I pushed back on paying $150, asking if they wouldn't stand behind their product by at least coming to look in person for free and telling him I would be forced to report them to the better business bureau if they wouldn't respond more reasonably, I was told he didn't "respond to threats". End of communication on his end. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in 20 years in New York. You may pay less in getting the shades but this is a company that won't stand behind its product in any way - avoid the headache.

I had my custom shades done by City Window Fashions this weekend and absolutely love them!. Everything came as ordered, no delays. Installer did a great job. Will be using this company again for another room.

After having an awful experience with another shade company in attempting to cover my extra wide windows with sun shades, I discovered City Window Fashions by my neighbor's recommendation. If you need custom blinds or shades -this is the place to get them from! They offer fantastic selection of blinds and shades, many books with samples, nice showroom in Hoboken with many shade and blinds samples on display. I recommend going out to the showroom to look at all the different options of shades they have. After i decided what i liked i scheduled measuring and they came to me with the samples i liked at the store and i was able to find the shades color that matched best to my furniture and walls. I loved the service. They are really nice guys, expert installation. I got modern semi translucent shades for our living room, and a black out for the bedroom. If i ever need shades again i am definitely getting them from City Window Fashions.

I highly recommend City window fashions. They have excellent service. Office staff is nice and courteous, the sales rep was very knowledgeable. Installer did a great job with my wood blinds and top treatments. Very happy with the finished product.

I ordered vertical blinds for my mom, who lives at the Hudson Tea Building in Hoboken. City Window Fashions was the first place i called for estimate. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and prompt. He was very straightforward, no games, which i liked. I called few other local places to compare prices, and found price very reasonable, so i went with city windows. Their office took care of the building paperwork in a timely manner, Blinds were installed a few weeks later, installation was hassle free. My mom loves her blinds. Would definitely buy again.
