Immunization & Wellness CareWellness examinations and immunizations are the cornerstone of good health care for your pet. Therefore, we offer routine well-care visits, discussions of your pet's health, and proper vaccinations to make sure your pet stays healthy and to catch minor problems before they can become major health issues. Our doctors make sure that each and every pet receives individualized wellness care. In addition to a complete physical examination, the care program includes internal parasite testing and prevention, external parasite control, routine immunizations, life-stage blood testing, and discussions of your pet's behavior. Internal Medicine Internal medicine involves the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that are not treated with surgery. This might include problems with the eyes, skin, heart, digestion, nervous system, hormones, and limbs. If your pet is not feeling up to par, the doctors are here to help. They are skilled at combining the history of your pet's problem with a thorough medical examination so that sound recommendations can be made for diagnostics and treatment. Surgical Services Our doctors are skilled in a great variety of surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. Soft tissue surgeries include procedures such as spays, neuters, tumor removal, and surgeries of the abdomen. Orthopedic surgeries include repair of broken bones, as well as knee and hip surgery. Pets requiring surgery receive the finest care from the moment they enter the hospital. Individualized recommendations are made regarding pre-operative blood testing, anesthesia regime and pain control. Our doctors and nurses use the latest equipment to monitor pets before, during, and after surgery. Special equipment allows us to keep track of heart rate, oxygen use, body temperature, and respiratory rate while your pet is anesthetized.
