As the previous review states, back in 2006 this was a favorite casual sushi stop for us. No nonsense but friendly service and tasty sushi for great prices. Downtown Rolls, Mermaid rolls and scattered sushi were some of my favorites. They moved across the street since then for more space in the former Tsunami Grill. Our last stop in there was in Summer of 2007 before relocating.Sushi was still pretty good, prices still good. The experience was dimmed by unending interruptions by flies landing on our food. I've put up with some haphazard situations in the pursuit of a culinary experience. The place may have improved since last Summer, so at least stop by and take a peek. It may be worth your time. If I am fortunate enough to get back to Hilo, I'd give them another chance.

We love this place, but so do a lot of other people and seatingis limited, so call ahead for reservations or be ready to wait.
