Operational since 1990, the Hillsdale Academy is an educational institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers educational classes in math, reading, writing, history, geography, science, music and art. The academy conducts language classes in French and Spanish. The Hillsdale Academy organizes a range of athletic activities that includes basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and track and field. It has a parent-teacher organization that provides financial assistance to the school by organizing various fundraising events and activities. Hillsdale Academy is located in Hillsdale, Mich. It is operated by Hillsdale College, which is an independent, coeducational liberal arts college that was founded in 1844 and that serves more than 1,300 students. Hillsdale College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
