Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency, located in Alpena, Mich., is a nonprofit agency that offers a wide range of social and welfare services throughout the state. The center organizes various programs, such as emergency food assistance, commodity supplemental food, low-income weatherization and crisis prevention programs. It also organizes homeless prevention and utility assistance program. The organization provides specialized services, including care management, assistive technology loans and earned income tax credit services. It also offers services that include long-term care, congregate meals, family caregiver support, adult day care, and elder and substance abuse counseling. The center additionally organizes the Early Head Start program for low-income families, infants and pregnant women.
