In December I learned how to best put out a fire with a fire extinguisher. With Gordon Fire Equipment's training, I was able to take a look at replacing my antiquated fire extinguishers with two new ones. The week that I replaced them I had a chimney fire in my home. I heard the rush of flames going through my exhaust pipes and through the top of my chimney from the outside. I immediately called my fire department and asked my son to hand me the extinguisher. I tried to remove some embers first but it was still roaring so I used the techniques you showed me and blasted the wood stove inside. It quenched the fire from going out through the chimney. In the meanwhile the fire department came and check the chimney and the walls for damage and heat visually and with their special camera. All was well. I had done the right thing and there was no damage. I was very grateful. Thanks for teaching me what to do and how important it is to be prepared and ready at all times.

I have never hired Gordon Fire, as I myself am a fire equipment distributor an hour or so to the North. I do, however, occasionally receive a request to recommend a company in the Poughkeepsie area and it's always a no-brainer.
