I am very unhappy with My Town Market Place in Rosendale NY, The two times I used them they over charged me on sale items I was over charged, and when questioned would do nothing about it and they will be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I call this Bait and Switch, on a scale of 1 to 10 they rate a "0"

Cannot recommend this place. I've been going to this store since it opened, as it's really the only grocery store in town and I no longer drive. The produce and meats are always old and half rotten. The deli is OK but the meats are not a brand that I'd normally buy as I prefer higher quality brands. Occasionally the cooked food at the deli looks good, but from my experience it's not actually good at all. Everything is overpriced, of course, because they owners know they have a captive audience. The owners are not friendly at all. I always say hello to the lady in charge, but she has never once even acknowledged my existence. They feature a lot of Spanish foods and I've heard they're doing so well, opening a second store in Newburgh. The store has been getting cleaner than it used to be, so that's a plus, but I try to use the dial-a-bus to shop in Newburgh whenever I can. I get cheaper and much better quality groceries that way. The checkers are always nice & polite.

Deli department the BEST; crab seafood salad: crisp celery, whole shrimp, just the right seasoning; turkey and swiss sub: you pick the roll. fresh, fresh, fresh.

Fantastic meals for $600. The Stewed Beef or Pork stewed were tender, flavorful, the sauces so good to put on the Rice, or Rice & Bean - I have to buy more tonight. The portions were double than the restaurants give. But, its the flavor-gotta have it. Vivian Hannigan
