Allen Jay Elementary School serves more than 450 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes teachers, teaching assistants, specialists, counselors, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial employees. The school offers a range of student programs in art, music and physical education. Allen Jay Elementary School also offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. In addition, it offers medical care, speech therapy and guidance counseling services to students. The school has a parent-teacher association that supports and sponsors several school events and activities. Allen Jay Elementary School is a part of Guilford County Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
