The Hutchison Elementary School, located in Herndon, Va., serves more than 500 students in grades kindergarten through six. The school s student population includes more than 200 children from nearly 30 countries. It offers an extensive curriculum of subjects, including reading, writing, English, mathematics, science and physical education. It works in partnership with various organizations, including the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, the Floris United Methodist Church and the OutBack Steakhouse. Its students are tutored by volunteers from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. The Floris United Methodist Church provides clothing and lunches for students and has coordinated evening classes in English language for parents. The OutBack Steakhouse provides the school with Principal Pride awards, gift certificates and a yearly dinner-fundraiser at the school s campus. The Hutchison Elementary School facility includes classrooms, a library, a computer laboratory, lobbies, a theater, administrative offices, a conference room and a clinic.
