      General Info
      Dr. Bertha Lin values a dynamic patient-physician relationship; and works side by side with her patients in order to understand their medical history and develop a treatment plan that is personalized and successful. In addition to her expertise in both medical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Lin specializes in the treatment of skin cancers. She is highly trained in Mohs Micrographic surgery and post-surgery reconstruction. A native of Ann Arbor Michigan, Dr. Lin graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School where she received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholarship at the National Institutes of Health. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Lin completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital; as well as a dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota and a dermatologic and Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Lin has a particular interest in physician training, participating on the faculties of George Washington University Medical School, University of Minnesota Medical School and Wayne State University Medical School; and teaching internal medical residents at St. Johnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She is also devoted to patient education, and such initiatives as free skin cancer screening clinics in local communities. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates of the Bay Area, Dr. Lin worked in academic, private and multispecialty group practices.
