Inexpensive - FOR A REASON!!!! Because I'm on a fixed income, I trusted these people with my move from Va to LA, Ca. I also paid extra for them to wrap and pack because physically I'm not able. When it FINALLY arrived TWO BOXES WERE MISSING AND no protection had been used on the box of fragile items so over half were broken. They also secured every piece of furniture by using packing tape directly on the wood destroying the finish.

The missing boxes were EVERY FAMILY PICTURE I HAD! My daughters first Christmas portrait, every school picture of her and my son, including her first picture ever, her senior portrait, her prom picture and every picture i had of both sets of grandparents and a box of Christmas items.

No way to replace any of those items!

EDIT TO ADD: They found a missing box, and tried to insist that we had refused that box, but the only boxes we refused were ones we had opened and found weren't ours! The driver searched the truck and couldn't find ours. The owner still insisted we were mistaken and that we had refused it and wouldn't listen to anyone, my son in law had to talk to him, because he was insisting that if he shipped it to us WE would have to pay shipping because he refused to believe that we hadn't refused it. We're still pretty sure that this one box isn't everything, but we will find out when it arrives, and we'll see if he tries to send it COD or not

I booked this company several months in advance. All required payments were made timely & everything was set or the move, so we thought. I lived in a secured condo with elevators. All residents were required to reserve the freight elevator by paying a deposit & scheduling the move. Guy set a move window of 10am-12pm so I paid the deposit & reserved the entire day. I emailed Guy the condo guidelines which included the time moving was allowed 9am-5pm. Move day: I waited 6 hours before hearing from Guy & I simply asked if & when the movers would arrive. I told him that their lateness was unprofessional, he started yelling & said that he would refund me my money & to find another mover. THE DAY OF THE MOVE! Over a month later I received a random call from the owner (Guy) threatening me to remove my review from another site. Max Moving is the most unprofessional, inefficient, questionably "insured", company I've EVER worked with. It's also not BBB accredited. Do your research & RUN!
