I've rated my experience with Mountain Pie Co 5 out of 5 stars because this site currently doesn't offer 10! Living in this area for over 40 years, I like many others have established our own "best out of the best." So much so, that I'm guilty of patronizing particular restaurants and the same dishes for fear of getting a disappointing meal or "experience." What I knew was that Merri had an excellent reputation for baking beside the fact that she's a genuinely generous and beautiful person. However, when it came time to order a birthday cake I called my "same ol same ol" to be assured my gift would be "reliably" good. Just so happens that establishment had closed for vacation and took my time and options with them. Well, I hope they had as good a time on their vacation as we did eating the BEST LOOKING, SMELLING AND TASTING RED VELVET CAKE I have EVER HAD! If you frequent establishments for consistant excellence, you just found you new BAKERY!
