While under general anesthesia for tooth extractions, this clinic severely burned my dog with the microwave heating pads they use. Two other DVMs confirmed the burns but Dr. Pflaum denied using any heating even before looking in my dog's chart. This doctor recently was taken off probation by the state and has two other letters of reprimand from the state. He is under investigation for my incident. I hope he loses his license so he can hurt no other dogs.

I was also new to NV and when I moved I found this vet was close to our new home. We've been taking our animals here for 3 years now and have even boarded them for a week and have come back and both dogs were clean - happy and healthy. We've been more than happy to recommend this vet to anyone we know. Their prices are unbeatable and reasonable and they truly care for your beloved pets. I found out that Dr. Pflaum does pet clinics at Jones Feed on Rancho and Lone Mountain from a co-worker. The clinic is absolutely wonderful and is prices are great! I found a cat in a foreclosed home and decided to keep him. Dr. Pflaum checked him out, gave him the necessary shots and neutered him onsite as well. The cost was less than $75 at the clinic for all of this and my cat loved him. There are hundreds of people who come with every animal imaginable including horses. When I asked why they bring their horses as they come in from Pahrump, they said that they trusted no one but Dr. Pflaum to work on their stock. I was there when Dr. Pflaum met the horses and the animals really liked him - nickering and blowing which I was told a good sign. He and his assistants have the magic touch with animals and are very caring, no nonsense with their assessments. I highly recommend not only Dr. Pflaum but the clinic as well especially in this economy.

I am a new resident to Nevada, with a dog. I met many dog owners at the local dog parks and during walks with my dog. I asked about vets and got the most recommendations for Dr. Pflaum. So I took my dog to him and was pleased with the service at a very resonable price. Dr. Pflaum is a common sense vet. My dog gets seizures once every 2-3 months. He listened to my story about the seizures, outlined what might occur in the future and listed how I should respond and when I should get him in to the vet.

Dr Pflaum is a very knowledgeable vet. He won't pull any punches either. If your dog is in pain and the best thing to do is put them down, he'll tell you. The cost of his services are very fair. The staff are very friendly and always take care of you. He is always busy so you have to schedule it in advance if you can and plan on it taking some time. But I always find the extra time spent here is better than throwing away my money somewhere else. He has some very good vet techs that have been with him for years. I would deffinately recommend him to anyone for any pet.
