EDUCATION G. H. Kashef, MD, received his bachelor degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he majored in physiology and later worked toward a master’s degree at the McGill AIDS Center. He completed his medical degree at the University of Iberoamericana School of Medicine. He completed his residency for internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in medical oncology at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. EXPERIENCE Dr. Kashef is a medical oncologist at Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN). He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology and provides oncology and hematology care to patients in Southern Nevada. Dr. Kashef served as Chief of Oncology at Sunrise Hospital from January 2013 to January 2016. Before coming to CCCN in 2008, Dr. Kashef was a medical oncologist-hematologist at Kona Community Hospital in Kona, Hawaii and later joined Rowlett Regional Cancer Center in Rowlett, Texas. In 2014, Dr. Kashef was named Medical Marvels: Nevada’s Top Physicians by Nevada Business Magazine. PERSONAL Dr. Kashef is fluent in Persian and Spanish. He is married, has a daughter, and enjoys outdoor activities and cultural events with his family.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2011 and then on a pet scan 4 months after surg. they found a legion on my liver and Dr,.Parikh said it was a stage 4 and that I needed chemo asap and a treatment plan, after 6 months of chemo I had my liver resection at sloan kettering in NYC. after my recovery period I had a cat scan and a pet scan done and I am in remission thanks to Dr. Parikh I cannot thank him enough when I was first diagnosed I did not want to do anything especially chemo and he made me understand my treatment options ,the chemo drugs and side effects he was hopeful and told me he will be able to get me to remission and most likely a cure, as upset as I was hearing the news I felt that he really cared about me and wanted to help,and he has always told me the truth and treated my symptoms while on chemo and continues to do so now. I feel that he treats the patient first and then the cancer. I will always recommend him to family, friends and co-workers thank you . Theresa F
