The Helmet Public Works Department is responsible for the administration and supervision of engineering, emergency management, solid waste, roads and airports divisions. Its engineering division monitors engineering consultant service contracts for field surveying, computer design, acquisition, construction inspection and management for capital improvement projects. The department also operates refuse and recycling divisions that specialize in the collection of waste products. It offers a range of street sweeping, road maintenance, and water and waste management services. In addition, the Helmet Public Works Department provides design, planning and maintenance services for parks. It also installs sewers and storm drains. The department is located in Hemet, Calif.
