They require deposits for plans. The sales person is high energy and seemed to be trustworthy, boy were we wrong assuming that. The contract specifically says that the money would be applied to job, if you go with them, and if not, that the plans are the property of the customer. We decided to go with someone else because the price was outrageous and they no longer wanted to work with us. We had to retain an attorney to force them to give us the plans or our money back. They gave us the plans, but they are all messed up, and unusable. They have cabinets that are marked in impossibly small sizes. Example and 18 in wide Lazy Susan. that should fill a space of 33". The designs on the surface looked similar to what they proposed but when shown to other builders we were shown that they are not usable. Fortunately ALL of the other builders we spoke to, are doing designs for us for free. They have a LONG history of Great Salesmanship, and horrible customer service and problems delivering anything. After digging around, we also found out that he has run a few of these businesses in to the ground, and MAUI is just another disaster waiting to happen. My Recommendation, is find ANYONE ELSE but Maui Kitchens.
