Northumberland Elementary School is a public school offering educational programs to students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school has an enrollment of more than 600 students and is a part of the Northumberland County Public School District. It offers a general music class for 40 minutes once a week that include instruction in singing techniques, rhythm instruments, Orff instruments, folk dances and foundations of music reading, history and theory. It also provides an opportunity to students to see several symphony performances, student opera productions and a variety of other music performances. The school s cafeteria serves nutritious lunch to students. Northumberland Elementary School is located in Heathsville, Va.
