General Info

Dr. Julie Plante (previously Dr. Julie Philp) is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatrician and sees adult and pediatric patients at Redwood Empire Dermatology in Healdsburg and Oakmont. Her areas of expertise include general dermatology including cancer surveillance and treatment, cosmetic rejuvenation, and pediatric dermatology. She has a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine and tries to include these treatment modalities in the care plans of her patients when desired. She graduated from Stanford School of Medicine and did both her pediatrics and dermatology residencies at the University of California, San Francisco. She has been involved in research studies throughout her career and has published multiple scholarly articles in peer reviewed journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. She is a volunteer educator of family practice resident physicians and performs skin cancer screenings in the community. When not caring for her patients, she enjoys exercising, travel, and spending time with her husband and baby girls.
