I have been a customer of Hair of the Dog since 1999 - Melody (and Bonnie) are excellent not only with grooming, obedience teaching, breed knowledge and other such skills, but with their love and care of your pet(s). They are always accommodating and helpful to any special requests, needs or actions. 1999 thru 2011 Snoopy was the most loved and best groomed Westie in the Hazleton area; now in 2013 we begin a new journey with our baby Westie "Max". My dogs love to see their Auntie Mel and she is very gentle and loving to them. I've had dogs groomed there for 15 yrs and they always look great. They get bows and a rawhide lollipop when they leave. Great gifts and a doggy bakery too!

I wasn't happy with the service at this shop. Groomer was ignorent and completly shaved my little dog down to nothing! I jst asked for a trim! He had been clipped like 3 weeks prior so he wan't matted or anything! Then when I asked her why she had gone so short she got very snippy...and then charged me a 45 bucks...for what?!

I wasn't very pleased. When I returned to pick up my pet she was still working on him...which wasn't a problem but she was very rough with him. I was so upset. Then she was very rude to me because I arrived a few minutes early. Her prices are a bit high too...maybe if she handled my dog with a little more compasion I wouldn't mind paying a little more. I will never take my baby back there. Big mistake. :(

Great Service. They really know dogs. They can even handle large breeds like Mastiffs. Great obedience classes too!

When i say his groomers name he luv's her so much he runs to the door to get groomed. She is careful and caring, and you can always count on good advice from her. She does the "best" work.

Very easy to talk too and you get the service you ask for and you can get other supplies why you are there.

She also sells high end, quality dog food and GREAT, UNIQUE gifts!

Melody Fuller, the proprietor, is extremely knowledgable and caring. She really knows her stuff!

Good variety of items. Unusual gift ideas and products for my dog. Owner is easy to deal with and is very informed on all the latest products and what will make my dog happy. Nice variety of toys and treats as well as good sourse for information on keeping my dog in good coat and looking great. Perfectionist in her grooming, every dog looks great and feels very special. Her main concern is always my animals welfare.

Just excellent, and Maggie loves it

Anyone that has the patience to groom, not one, but three newfies is wonderful! She took the time to brush through mats, and make my guys look (and smell :-) beautiful. I've also had all of mine to her for obedience classes...and my guys just LOVE her homemade treats!!
