Care that starts at the front door The updated facility is nearly double the size and features a quicker, easier check-in process. To decrease wait times, a nurse will see you, take vital signs, and determine next steps in care. Patients who are experiencing life-threatening conditions are always given priority, and now people with minor injuries and illnesses can be super-tracked and rapidly triaged. Super-track process for minor conditions People with minor illnesses or injuries can be “super-tracked” to receive care quickly. Four super-track beds are available to treat people with non-emergency conditions. Trauma care We now have a dedicated trauma room in our Level IV trauma center. We also work closely with the Level I trauma center at LVH–Cedar Crest through our telehealth program. Cardiac care If you are experiencing heart attack symptoms, including chest pain, shortness of breath or pain in your arms, neck, jaw or back – call 911. We partner with LVHN’s other hospital locations in the award-winning MI Alert Program. If you have a heart attack, this program enables us to quickly identify the condition and transfer you to a partner facility with the resources to provide the best in treatment in 90 minutes or less.
