The Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer fire department that serves the Bull Run Mountain, Catharpin, Gainesville, Haymarket and Evergreen areas in Virginia. It provides fire protection, rescue and first response services for medical emergencies. The department maintains a fleet of pumpers, water tankers, ambulances and a canteen unit. It also has brush trucks and attack and command units. The Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department is a part of the Department of Fire & Rescue of the Prince William County government, which also operates development and social services, economic development, finance, fire and rescue, health, human resources, public works and transportation departments. The government also operates a library, adult detention center, sheriff s office and general district court. The Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department is located in Haymarket, Va.
