It serves Greater Hayden and Rathdrum areas in Kootenai County in Idaho. The Northern Lakes Fire Protection District maintains a fleet of engines, trucks and ambulances. The district responds to more than 3,100 calls annually. It operates several stations, as well as provides hazard response services.
