      With over 41 years of experience, Dr. Joseph A. Lozito treats his patients with kindness and a sense of humor. He is known for taking his time to listen to his patients, spend time with his patients and guide them to the right health care decisions. Graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology, he worked for several years as a pharmacist before opening Lozito’s Pharmacy in Paterson, NJ. Continuing his education at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he became Board Certified in Family Medicine, completed his internship and residency at Union Hospital in NJ, and in 1979, opened his private practice in Hawthorne, NJ. In 2008, he co-founded The Institute for Medical Weight Loss and Nutrition located in Hawthorne, NJ, to address the obesity epidemic. Dr. Joseph Lozito is accepting new patients and affiliated with Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
