Hawthorne Middle School offers several academic and extracurricular activities to students in grades six through eight. The school provides classes in history, science, math, Spanish, social science and English. It also offers student programs related to dance, art, music and physical education. Hawthorne Middle School employs psychologists and counselors who provide anger management and individual and group counseling services. In addition, it administers the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). The school additionally organizes field trips to cultural and historic locations.
