Hawthorne High School offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students. It provides a variety of subjects, including English, fine arts, mathematics, science, social studies, computer science and physical education. The school also offers foreign languages, such as French and Spanish. It organizes various sports activities for students, including football, baseball, basketball, cross-country, tennis, soccer, golf, volleyball and track. The school additionally offers various services, including student transcripts, lockers, insurance, transportation and parking, and cafeteria. Its library has a large collection of fiction, nonfiction, encyclopedias, reference notes, journals and magazines. It also has a parent-teacher organization that involves parents in various educational activities of school. The school is located in Hawthorne, Calif., and is affiliated with the Centinela Valley Union High School District.
