The camp is a part of the Chippewa Valley Council of The Boy Scouts of America, which serves over 8,000 youths in more than 10 counties in Wisconsin. The parent organization is an educational program for boys and young adults to build character and develop personal fitness. The Boy Scouts of America offers Venturing program that includes high-adventure activities and sports programs for young men and young women between the ages of 14 and 20. The parent organization provides year-round family- and home-centered programs that encourage the decision-making skills in boys between the ages of 7 and 17. Incorporated in 1910, its scout camps are inspected and accredited annually by teams of trained volunteers to ensure the health, safety and quality of program for campers.
