If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is worthless. Twice they've been scheduled to come spray my late mother's house, and twice they've stood us up. None of us offspring live in Arkadelphia, so we have to drive from out of town to let the bug man in. So far we've made two trips for nothing. When we called, they first said the guy had been by but no one was there. We were there. Then someone else called (manager?) and said the guy was in Louisiana...so, he DIDN'T come by the house after all? Really fishy. This is no way to run a business, and when we sell the house, we certainly WILL NOT recommend Terminix to the new owners.

I do not recommend this service. Had an unpleasant, expansive experience. I wish I had hired a local, small business instead.

Terrible service. 2 hr wait, no one showed up. Multiple calls before we could get anyone to respond, then told appt had been canceled but they didn't feel the need to let us know. No way to run a business!

They have been terrible. They never do what they say they are going to do and they 2x now have missed seeing termites that are there. Of course we are under warranty so they are not motivated to see anything. Never return my calls, never show up when they say they will.
If they were aggressive in serving the customer as they are in selling to the customer, this would be a good deal. The problem is you can't find them after they sign you up. They won't return calls or respond in anyway. A very poorly run, fly-by-night business.

tried to transfer the "termite letter" when we moved here. Salesman said they cant do that and i'd have to have a whole new service for $1800+ What they lack in morality they make for in price.

Its amazing how fast they are to come to your house to give a quote and take your money..yet when you need them to come back they are unavailable..takes 48 hours for a phone call back and then they never show up..I am sorry i used them and will never ever ever renew my contract....DO NOT USE TERMINEX..

We have had wonderful service and a wonderful technician assigned to our home, who has always been prompt, open, honest, happy to share his knowledge with us, and we just love him. It is an expensive service however, and I believe that with the purchase of our second home, we will spray for the crawlies ourselves and save some money. We HIGHLY recommend Terminix and our reps. We have a termite baiting system installed as well, and recently received a new type of bait and an explanatory handout saying that the baiting system will no longer be inspected by the termite rep because of an improvement in the chemicals used in the system.. Just an annual inspection rather than the 1/4ly inspection that we paid for when we subscribed that this secondary contract... hmmmm. A literal 'bait and switch' ?? We have to wonder..

If anybody thinks Terminix will stand by their policy of replacing damage caused by termites under their contract think again. I submitted a claim with the district supervisor in person and he said " I will try to get you $178.00 that you spent to replace damage done under our protection." If you think they have even contacted me about this you would be wrong. I will not hold my breath on getting a refund on this claim. Terminix will not honor their contract so don't expect much from Terminix.

I don't think the person I spoke to on the phone was very honest. The guy who came to the house seemed to be very thorough, but we kept having problems and when I called to ask for more service, they basically said that we shouldn't expect things to get better until summer was over. It was like pulling teeth to get somebody to come back out. Finally they said they would come back out, but not for another two weeks.

Ended up with Terminix because they took over a small local company that provided excellent service. Terminix has terrible service! Spent as little time as possible. Only concern was collecting money - and could care less about customer service. I terminated my service and signed with another company to my great satisfaction! :) Thank goodness we were not under contract with them! :)

just a quick note to add my 2 cents. Currently I am employed w/Terminix (a privately owned franchise that is under the Terminix name) in central North Carolina. I've worked for the company since 2/09 as a pmp (service tech). I take pride in what I do, though I never planned on this as a career, and my customers really do like me. However just today, 1/7/11 i rec'd a "final" warning that basically I will be terminated if I do not sell at least $2000 this month. This is in addition to completing my route.To be completely honest, I truly believe that if it weren't for the general stupidity of people in general, the residential pest control industry as it exista now could not sustain itseld. Generally, our customers pay 75$ every 3 months for pest control, w/ free re-services in between (300$/yr). I do the best job that I can and still in my honest opinion, unless you are incapable due to age/physicality, this in entirely too much $$ to pay. Not to mention the other ridiculous overpriced products that we are forced to push onto our customers.Oh well...just looking for a place to vent, while I search for a new job before the money hungry greedy bastards let me go....

I see these poor reviews and had to post mine. I used Terminix of west Michigan and had excellent service. The inspector showed up on time as promised and the technician was very professional and knowlegable. He got right to work on my carpenter ant problem and explained the whole process of how they get rid of those little critters. About a month latter I started to see some ants again so i called the Terminix office and the same technician was back to my house within a day or 2 to treat them. They actually exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Terminix.

Beware of the fine print in your Terminex contract. Dishonest way to treat customers. I paid for a year of pest control and did not think it was worth renewing. They continued to bill me because they "said" they continued to provide service. Well, in the contract they say they will continue and bill you quarterly --AT A SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER PRICE--but they fail to mention that when you sign the contract. Yes, everyone has time to read every piece of yellow carbon copy paper with microscopic print that comes into their life and mark their calendars to cancel before they get robbed. Additionally, even when I made special appointments with them they seemed to have some sort of scheduling mix-up--which makes for a great way to spend your Saturday. I live in a townhome so about all they can spray is about 12 feet across the front without me being home...so they basically did nothing. The building is elevated so I doubt it does much good to spray there anyway. Just bad business.

I had the same experience with Terminix not coming the time "window" or day that they specified. It is hard to reach the person that you were initially assigned to. When you call the number they send you to a call center that pages them. The person was friendly when he actually made it out there, but I must have tried 3-4 different times to accommodate their schedule and they did not do the same for me.
The Terminix 'area manager" came out and gave me a quote - great. prompt. However, I felt harassed. He called, emailed, called and called. One would think this was the horrible part. 1. He was lost going to my house. Have we not heard of mapquest? He called for directions. 2. He was pushy and aggressive - he claimed to give me a ?good? discount. 3. His written quote was inadequate compared to the other quotes I received. He wanted to tent the house while we are under construction, no outer walls at this point. The 2 other quotes I received explained that we need walls up to properly get rid of the bugs. The other quotes explained what kind of termites we had, Terminix guy NEVER mentioned what kind of bugs we had and kept pushing to do the job that weekend. He called to ask why I didn?t response to his email quote, this is 5 minutes after I received the email. I told him that I was going with another company. He called me the following day and asked if he had the job.
I just called them to set up a one time wasp spray. Well they wanted $200 for a one time spray and a 30 day guarantee. Thats ridiculous. So I called a local bug guy that will do it for $70 and same guarantee.
Never comes when I need them. Cannot accomidate customer's schedule. Have called and asked them to meet me on a specific day, any wednesday of the month but they said they could not be in the area on that day. So only the outside is getting done and they never come in to spray so my house is being over run with bugs.

I love the service. Manager is very prompt returning my calls. I dont have to be home in order for them to complete my service. Paid for my neighbors termite damage, and put them in a hotel while repairs were being completed. It is also the only company that would give me the coverage I needed for termites.
Zero stars. 4 missed appointments with no phone calls. No messages. Can't get a hold of the manager. Last appointment - didn't ring the bell while I was waiting by the door for the appointment. The worst company service I've ever dealt with. They just didn't seem to care once they have your money. STAY AWAY!
