The consulting firm of Gabriel E. Senor, Consulting Engineer and Surveyor was founded in 1954 by Gabriel E. Senor, P.E., L.S. as a full service Consulting Engineering and Surveying firm specializing in site development. Gabriel was town engineer for several local towns and did municipal work as well as private works for places such as shopping centers and homes. His son, Eliot Senor took over the business in 1984, and Gabriel Senor retired in 1994. Eliot Senor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer, a licensed land surveyor and a home energy rater. Eliot joined the company in 1975 and worked as a survey aide from then until 1980. In 1980 he was promoted to the position of party chief. After his role as party chief he then was promoted to project engineer and officer manager. In 1995, Eliot became the president of Gabriel E. Senor, P.C. Eliot has supervised the work Office and Field Staff, managed field projects of field surveyors, and drafts people and engineers working on all projects undertaken by this firm. His projects include private and public housing, municipal and institutional development, commercial, industrial planning and Flood Elevation Certifications. Eliot has designed subdivisions, sewer, drainage, water, grading and site plans for development of commercial and residential sites in Westchester County, Putnam County and New York City. He has prepared applications for appropriate town and county authorizing agencies and planning and zoning Boards. He has also represented owners before such agencies.
