Sport & Medical Sciences Academy is a local magnet school that provides educational programs to more than 350 students in grades nine through 12. It offers education in various subjects, including business, English, social studies, world languages, math, science, and health and physical education. The school has a counseling department that counsels students in their educational and social development and also offers individual and group counseling services. It offers a variety of athletic activities, such as football, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, track, baseball and softball. The school has various clubs and organizations that include math center, teen talk, film club, student council, book talk and knitting. Sport & Medical Sciences Academy is a part of the Hartford School District and is located in Hartford, Conn.
