Hartford Public High School is governed by Hartford Public Schools. The school, located in Hartford, Conn., offers educational services to more than 1,400 students in grades nine through 12. It provides instruction in various academic areas, such as algebra, biology, English, American history, chemistry, vocational education, arts, reading, writing, mathematics and world languages. Hartford Public High School offers various student resources, including a library, career center, cooperative learning and extended day programs, student assistance center and legal advocacy clinic. The school organizes a wide range of activities, such as a band, choir, peer tutoring, entrepreneurship, law club, National Honors Society, student council and yoga club. It also organizes several other activities, including a readers feast book club, teacher cadets, world music drumming and pub club community services club.
