Provided by YPmobileVery disappointed! I recently had dental surgery, so could not get my fav "pretzel burger" which is excellent. Instead I wanted an appetizer, mozzarella sticks, potato skins or jalapeño poppers would have been perfect. Guess what? Terry's has None of the above! I ended up with a very poor tasting " deep fried cheese curd" thing that was awful! Even the batter wasn't good! Ugh! I had cheese curd in the past in WI, and this is NOT the same. The sauce was sickly sweet and had a poor ketchup flavor. Just not good. Stick with the burgers if you go here. Yuck! :(

Provided by YP.comNo amount of advertising or coupons in the world could get me to go back here again. In fact you couldn't even pay me. Their fish and chips is an absolute joke. All the food is terrible. I've given them several chances because many years ago I went there all the time with my family and we loved it. They've continued to go downhill ever since. Don't waste your time or money. They need to make some serious changes.

Provided by YP.comMy family ate at Terry's Terrace yesterday. I was grossed out, because when I went into the restaurant I immediately went into the bathroom. No sooner I got in a Terry's Terrace employee that looked like a cook came out of the stall and went out of the bathroom. He didn't even wash his hands. This is absolutely gross. I don't think we will ever eat there again.

Provided by YPmobileMy husband and i used to eat at Terrys frequently years ago, but as we noticed their quality lower, we stopped going. Yesterday we decided to give them another chance with a carryout since we've been hearing their radio commercials we thought they may have gotten back to their old glory. WRONG. I ordered the filet medallions...there were supposed to be three, there were two...NO flavor, no veggie, no sauce....literally two pieces of charred crap. Wouldnt let me upgrade my soup to french onion so I paid another $5 for literally 5 ounces of salty soup. My husband ordered the fish and chips, he said it was flavorless (which explains why they have a Bogo coupon on it...btw, even though it doesnt say it, its for dine in only). His soup (tomato vegetable) was okay, but it came without crackers or a bread basket. I'm so disappointed...in them and myself for paying for that crap. I will never, ever eat at Terrys Terrace again. Ever.

Terrific place to hang out, watch the games, have drinks and socialize with a great staff

Provided by YPmobileWe purchased the groupon from Terrys based on my husbands prior positive experiences dining there. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience ourselves.
When we arrived, there was a line. We went to the bar for a drink. We waited for at least five minutes (the bartenders were not busy at all) before we were acknowledged.
When we were seated, we ordered right away. I'm a strict lifelong vegetarian (no meat, seafood, or poultry). There was nothing on the menu that was vegetarian, so I ordered pasta without the chicken. My husband ordered the "Terry Burger" (he is definitely not a vegetarian). We ordered the spinach dip appetizer.
The bread basket was brought out. It contained 2 hard, cold pieces of bread...and a ramekin with enough butter to butter 2 full loaves of bread. Our spinach dip came out shortly after. I'm assuming the dip is typically served warm....but ours was not. It was lukewarm, at best. Our entrees were no better. My dish consisted of penne noodles with a flavorless cream sauce. My husbands burger was 2 hockey puck like burgers on a bun twice their size. He took one bite, and shoved it aside. I've never seen him turn down a hamburger, especially since he is deprived of them at our house. He said it was completely flavorless.
The only positive here was our friendly waitress. The bartenders and management came across as very inexperienced. We will NEVER be returning to Terrys Terrace.

Provided by YP.comI've been here a couple times and I have to say that I am very unimpressed. I'm sure the owner feels that the overabundance of very young girls working here is an asset to the business, but he failed to take into account the logistics of a situation like that. I went here with a friend of mine. We both sat down at the bar. The young female bartender asked my male friend only what he wanted. 10 minutes went by. She gave my friend his drink & stood there talking to him never once acknowledging my existence until I finally just told her what I wanted. As if this wasn't bad enough, I ordered pasta that was overcooked and very bland. It didn't taste as if there was any seasoning at all in it. Very flavorless. Ok, so maybe, the very rude bartender was a fluke. I went back to Terry's with the same friend. Again, the young female bartender (a different one) paid only attention to him upon arrival. We ended up sitting at a table since the bartenders can't seem to understand their true purpose for being there. While sitting at the table we witness an argument between 2 other young females that were waitresses. They're arguing about a guy. Apparently, one of the waitresses was dating this guy, but it didn't stop another of the waitresses from also dating him only the word "date" was not the word used, but it was a 4 letter word. We heard the entire argument. There was foul language used along with conversation that was not fit for anyone to hear. Again, the food was very bland and tastless. I do not recommend that anyone ever dine at this place. I gave it another chance and it was, again, a waste of my money and seems more of a call girl service with food than a restaurant. I will never go here again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone else. I'm forced to give it 1 star. If I could I would give it no stars.
My wife and I go to Terry's about once every 2 months and over the lat couple of years we have used Restaurant.com gift certificates in the restaurant. I usually have 2 or 3 beers and the wife has 1. I always ask about the beer specials and of course I was told that you only get those on the bar side. OK, so yesterday the 21st of June we sat on the bar side and proceeded to order the beer special. The waitress saw the gift certificate and said that that can't be used with the specials and I said OK. I never in my wildest imagination would have thought that meant the beer specials. It has always in my experiences meant the daily food specials because are already discounted. Well the 2 dollar buds ended up costing 3.25 and I only ordered them because of the special. When I told the waitress that I wanted the 2 dollar bud, I guess it didn't register. What a gimmick, could you tell me what gives with this. Thank you in advance, Kurt Gutowsky
I've had the Filet Mignon, Three Cheese Chicken Penne and several items that blow away anything else I've had in town. The Filet is similiar quality to that of Opus One at a 1/2 the price. The beer selection is rivaled by few places, where else do you get IPA's in Macomb county? I've been waited on by Jennie, Brandi and Bea and been nothing but impressed. As far as missing the days of Terry...you must not of been in the place with the musty antiques and smoke filled bar before the current owners took over...the place is much cleaner and the food is actually consistent. I'd still like to see pizza on the menu and bigger booths in the dining room but this is the best service and highest quality steak and seafood you'll find in Harrison Twp by a long shot.
This place is a coupon scam center. You are enticed to visit the place via a coupon but then when you get there you find out that they have all of these "rules" regarding when and if you can use the coupon. 90% of the times I have been there the answer was "Sorry you can't use the coupon". Good food, good service but don't expect to be able to use any coupons.

Good food. Decent prices. Typically you can find a coupon.

Provided by YP.comThis was by far, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. My career has me travelling extensively, and I have been exposed to a wide spectrum of hospitality. But the slow service, accompanied by rude management and mediocre food quality, has convinced me of what I have heard from other locals: stay away.
