The Harrison Police Department, founded in 1909, employs more than 85 full-time, sworn officers, volunteers and civilians. It maintains K-9, special investigations, traffic, vehicle enforcement and school resource units. The Harrison Police Department operates a patrol division that provides uniformed patrol, crime prevention, emergency incident response, accident investigation, traffic law enforcement, and ordinance and statute enforcement services. The department undertakes cases related to juvenile crime, sexual offense, drug abuse and domestic violence. The Harrison Police Department, located in Harrison, N.Y., also performs duties related to animal control, code enforcement, court service, noise check, and detective and support operations.
