- Pediatric CareDr. Shrum was raised and graduated high school in Harrison, AR. He then went to the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelor's of Science degree. Afterwards, he moved to Little Rock with his wife, Dixie. He completed his Medical Doctorate degree in 2001 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Dr. Shrum then completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency Program. He trained at Arkansas Children's Hospital, UAMS, and McClellan's VA Hospital and currently provides care to patients from prematurity to geriatrics. He serves on several boards of non-profit organizations in town and is actively involved at NARMC in leadership roles. His hobbies include coaching the youth of Harrison, hunting, and flying.
