Founded in 1964, Harrisburg Area Community College serves more than 15,000 students in Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties in Pennsylvania. The college also serves over 3,300 students through distance education, including online and video courses. It offers degrees, certificates, diplomas and honors programs in engineering, nursing, psychology, humanities and global studies. Harrisburg Area Community College s curriculum additionally includes computer technology, business management, and hospitality and tourism. The college has a library that stocks various types of books, articles and information resources. In addition, it provides placement testing, academic advising and career counseling services. Harrisburg Area Community College operates a learning center.
