- GlaucomaMedical eye conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration can interfere with your quality of life by causing poor vision and, if left untreated, can eventually lead to complete vision loss. However, if detected early, these medical eye conditions can be treated – comfortably and effectively. - Diabetic RetinopathyA cataract is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye. Deciding to have cataract surgery usually comes when you are no longer satisfied with the quality of your vision. Glare around headlights and streetlights is a common cataract symptom. The cloudier the cataract, the blurrier the vision. There are other medical indications for cataract surgery including cataract-induced glaucoma. Surgery may also be indicated if a cataract prevents your doctor from seeing the retina or treating other conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy, which involves damage to the small blood vessels of the retina.
