The Harlingen WaterWorks System provides safe drinking water and wastewater treatment services. It serves more than 21,000 customers in Town of Combes, Town of Primera and Palm Valley in Texas. It is located in Harlingen, Texa, and operates water storage facilities for the collection and distribution of water to the city residents. Additionally, the Harlingen WaterWorks System operates various water treatment plants, such as the Dixieland and the Downtown water treatment plants to store and process more than 25 million gallons of water on a daily basis. Its water treatment plants have professional and trained operators certified by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. It also operates wastewater treatment plants for purification of water and utilizes advanced technology and equipment. The Harlingen WaterWorks Systems has also received the Texas Optimization Program Award.
